Personal Projects
I founded and developed two independent publications exploring culture, identity, and contemporary perspectives.
My role spanned the full publishing process, from concept development and editorial direction to writing, editing, and overseeing the production of each issue. Through these projects, I shaped the editorial voice, curated content, and managed the overall publishing workflow from idea to release.
01. Anak Nusantara
— Publication
A personal project of mine, Anak Nusantara is a publication that explores the historical and cultural experiences of the Indonesian-Chinese community. The publication examines themes of discrimination, identity, and intergenerational memory through a multi-perspective narrative spanning past, present and future contexts.
Here, I led the end-to-end creation of Anak Nusantara, and managed the entire creative pipeline, from coceptualisation to production and campaign execution. Over the span of a year, I travelled between Singapore and Indonesia to capture the people, spaces, and moments that shaped the editorial, photographic, and video narratives behind the publication.
The project was later featured on the website of LASALLE College of the Arts, which was meaningful recognition of a work that was deeply personal to me.
02. AERE
— Publication
During my time in LASALLE, I was inspired to create an independent publication exploring sustainability through the intersection of nature, technology, and human creativity.
Through editorials, interviews, and visual storytelling, the publication highlights artists, designers, and musicians reimagining sustainable futures. I led the publication from concept to release, overseeing editorial direction, writing, editing, and the overall publishing process.
